Hear that squeak? That’s us.

When it comes to keeping our hotel safe and clean, we shine. We scrub behind the ears, test, re-test, practice and enforce social distancing, and apply the highest of hi-tech to give you peace of mind knowing Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel goes to great lengths to ensure your safety. Thank you so much for visiting us.

Dear Valued Guest,

Sounds a bit simple, but right now nothing gives me greater pleasure than flipping our front sign from “Closed” to “Open.” And that’s where Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel is – ready, willing, prepared…and “Open.”

We welcome you and we welcome this moment. At the same time, these doors open – as does so much of our world – to new rules of engagement. And priority #1 for us is your safety.

The day after COVID-19 brought our world to a standstill, we immediately went to work adapting, brainstorming, and implementing new ways to secure your safety. We’ve even gone so far as to use a system for our rooms that takes a page from the child safety caps you see for prescription bottles. In other words, your room is sanitized to the nth degree and then sealed until the moment you open the door. These measures are for your safety and peace of mind and are designed to help you enjoy Lake Tahoe the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.

Today is a good day: our doors are open and summer is here. I thank you for your patience and for doing your part in staying safe. At the same time, I welcome you and your long-overdue return to Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel.

With best wishes,

Bill Cottrill
General Manager – Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel

Following is our safety protocol.

If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to us (without actually touching us, of course). Thank you.

We will have hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel and request that all guests / team members frequently sanitize their hands when entering and leaving the building.

Our team will be frequently cleaning and sanitizing all public spaces, specifically on frequent contact surfaces while utilizing proper PPE.

All linens are cleaned via a third party vendor that utilizes state of the art washers and dryers that meet stringent state mandated cleaning requirements.

The hotel will be booked at a lower capacity to maintain appropriate social distancing.

We utilize new cleaning devices such as electro-static sprayers.

Gloves and face mask are available for purchase at the front desk.

We will provide our guests with a bottle of hand sanitizer in each guest room.

Housekeepers will not enter your room during your stay unless requested.

Team members will be screened prior to entering the building each day to ensure they are healthy and we ask our guests that if they have been sick or not feeling well to please not enter the building.

Rooms will be sealed after deep cleaning to ensure no one has entered the room since cleaning.

Our team will be practicing physical distancing within all areas of the hotel and will be wearing masks. We ask our guests to respect physical distancing amongst other guests and our team members and to wear masks in public areas.

Elevators: No more than 4 unrelated people per elevator.
We have 5 stairwells on property which guests are allowed to use to access floors 2 through 9.

If you are sick or show signs of illness, do not enter the hotel and please return home immediately.
