While you’re there, you can explore around the bay and visit Vikingsholm Castle, one of the first summer homes in Lake Tahoe that’s now open for tours. After that, be sure to hike up to the Eagle Falls waterfall and spend some time becoming one with nature. Before you head out, be sure to check out our tips for planning the perfect hike in Lake Tahoe.

Noon – 2 p.m.
Eat lunch at Sprouts Natural Foods Cafe or Yellow Sub

Sprouts and Yellow Submarine are favorites for lunches around here. Sprouts has great healthy, on-the-go items. The majority of their menu is organic (as much as possible) and prepared daily, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Yellow Sub has more than 20 sandwiches, wraps, salads, and more, plus delicious fresh lemonade. Relax and enjoy your food there or grab it and take it to enjoy outdoors near the water. (Psst… Don’t miss all of our favorite places to eat in Lake Tahoe while you’re here.)

Kayaking near Emerald Bay in South Lake Tahoe.

You’ve spent a lot of time around the lake this weekend, but we haven’t actually gotten in it yet. Now’s your chance to dive into that crystal clear water. Thankfully, there are many ways to enjoy the waters of Lake Tahoe. Rent some kayaks, give parasailing a try, or just enjoy swimming and relaxing at one of our awesome beaches. It’s your last day here so slather on that sunscreen and do whatever strikes your fancy.

Noon – 2:00 p.m.
Stop for lunch at Echo.

We may be biased, but we think Echo is a pretty special restaurant. It’s right here at Lake Tahoe Hotel and features an ever-changing menu of seasonal and local foods and beverage options. We’re sure you’ll find something that tempts your tastebuds.

2 p.m. – ?
Shopping time!

It’s almost time to head out, but you’ve got to do a little bit of shopping before you leave. We recommend heading back on over to The Shops at Heavenly Village for some fun local shops, art galleries, eateries, and more you missed the first night. Find yourself a fun memento or souvenir to remember your awesome time in Lake Tahoe!
