Start Planning Your Spring Break Trip to Lake Tahoe

Do you have your spring break plans yet? It’s coming up faster than you think and now is the time to start planning your epic getaway. For a spring break full of adventure, fun, and some time in the great outdoors, Lake Tahoe really needs to be at the top of your list. Here’s why…
Experience SpringLoaded.

Be sure to pack the sunscreen!
While we’re not Cancun or Miami, spring does mean some of the best weather in Lake Tahoe. With average temperatures in the 40+ degree range during the day, it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and explore. However, just because it’s still a little cool outside doesn’t mean you should skimp on the sunscreen. Goggle tan is a real thing, folks! In all seriousness though, it’s easy to get sunburned in higher-altitude areas with the sun reflecting off the snow. Be sure you and your spring break crew are protected!
There’s a reason it’s called “Miracle March.”
Skiers and snowboarders love March (and the spring season in general) — and for good reason. The mix of sun and snow makes for ideal skiing and snowboarding conditions. The sunshine, warmer temperatures, and extra daylight mean you can make the most of your time out on the slopes. If you’re traveling to Tahoe with kids for a spring break getaway, perfect powder and mild weather make spring a great time to sign the youngsters up for some lessons as well.
Did someone say tacos?
The annual spring Salsa Showdown will put the “fiesta” in your spring break getaway! The annual event features 20+ kinds of salsa, a piñata, a taco eating contest, music, and more. It’s the perfect way to spice up your vacation.
Cut loose and relax with exciting Lake Tahoe nightlife.
If you’re looking to cut loose during spring break, Tahoe is definitely a great place. After a long day of soaking up the great outdoors, there’s nothing better than hitting up one of Lake Tahoe’s casinos or nightclubs. Popular spots in the area include casinos at Harrah’s or Harvey’s, Opal Ultra Lounge, Xhale Hookah Lounge, or McP’s Taphouse. You can even join the Tahoe Club Crawl and party it up like a local!
