If you really want to get wet and wild on your Tahoe vacation, give these 5 fun water activities a try.
1. Plan your trip along the Lake Tahoe Water Trail

Whether you’re a paddle boarder, kayaker, canoer, or boater, the Lake Tahoe Water Trail is your guide to enjoying the largest alpine lake in North America. As the name may suggest, the Water Trail is a 72-mile route along the shoreline with a public launch and landing sites and signage that makes exploring Lake Tahoe safe and easy. All lake users are encouraged to use the Lake Tahoe Water Trail maps to find designated sites and various areas to explore. Depending on how much time you have and your experience level, the trail is easily broken up into various day trips and overnight trips — all you have to do is follow the signs and take in the amazing views.
2. Soar to new heights with parasailing

If you’ve got a sense of adventure and want a slightly different view of Lake Tahoe, then you have to try parasailing. It has become increasingly popular in the Lake Tahoe area. In fact, it was even featured on an episode of ABC’s The Bachelor back in 2018, which caused a spike in tourism and parasailing enthusiasts locally. While the buzz of the episode may have worn off, the excitement of parasailing has not. There’s plenty of places in the Tahoe area that offer parasailing adventures, including Action Watersports at Lakeside Marina, located less than a mile from our hotel.
