We may be a little biased (ok, a lot biased), but we’re big fans of Echo. Located right here at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, Echo has a little something for everyone.

We’re all about eating local and sustainability here, so our menu is crafted using locally sourced produce and meats whenever possible and changes seasonally (and sometimes weekly) based on fresh foods available. Example menu items include build-your-own burger (with natural, grass-fed beef from local farms, of course), build-your-own pasta (with a wide array of fresh vegetables and proteins to pick from), seafood stew, avocado citrus salad, and so much more!

During the summer months, guests can experience our full menu, live music, and the refreshing Lake Tahoe air out on our patio. Since our menu changes frequently, we recommend calling 530-543-2140 with questions. Drop-ins and reservations are always welcome!

Calling all Italian lovers, this one’s for you! You may be in Tahoe, but this place will bring a little bit of Italy right to your dinner table. It’s an easy walk from Heavenly Mountain Resort and our hotel, so it’s a great place to wind down and carb load after a long day on the slopes.

Izabella is a little bit newer to the local restaurant scene, but there’s no shortage of Italian favorites — including bruschetta, caprese, zuppa di minestrone, and pasta galore! They also have an extensive wine list, featuring a great selection of California and Napa Valley wines, if you’re looking for an adult night out or date night options.

Looking for a great family-friendly place or delivery to your hotel room? Then you’ve gotta try Blue Dog. They’re a local favorite for pizza with delivery, carry out, and dine in options to meet your needs. With gourmet options like veggie Greek pizza and pesto chicken pizza or more traditional options, there’s no shortage of cheesy goodness to pick from.

Craving something other than pizza? They have a variety of sandwiches, appetizers, chips, and desserts available too! It’s sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters on your list.

Glazed And Confuzed Tahoe Donut

The punny name alone should be enough to get you to stop in here. If not, the amazing, handcrafted donuts definitely will be! If you’re an early riser and need a little boost to start your day off, then this is definitely the place. They open bright and early at 6:30 a.m. for all you morning people.

Glazed And Confuzed — owned by married duo Anthony and Mara Cavallaro — offers unique handcrafted donuts, coffee, espresso, and other select items to satisfy your morning sweet tooth. Enjoy the Pretzel Body Logic (with maple icing and crumbled bacon and pretzel pieces) or S’Mortal Combat (chocolate icing topped with graham crackers and lightly toasted marshmallows) and so many more! The shop was named the 2017 Best New Business by the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

Sprouts Natural Foods Cafe

3123 Harrison Avenue. South Lake Tahoe, CA
~2.8 miles from Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel

Sprouts is the place to go if you’re planning a fun Lake Tahoe adventure and want something healthy and on-the-go — or just an intimate, family-friendly environment. If you’re a fan of fresh, natural, and local, there’s really no better place for a quick bite. The majority of their menu is organic (as much as possible) and prepared daily.

Their menu includes an array of items — including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options — perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a quick snack. They have sandwiches, soups, salads, rice bowls, burritos, burgers, and so much more. The cafe has its origins as a juice bar, so of course, they stay true to that as well. We love stopping in for one of their delicious fresh-squeezed juices (Beet Zinger, anyone?) or all-fruit smoothies for a quick pick-me-up!

South Lake Brewing Company

1920 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA
~5.1 miles from Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel

If you’re looking for more of a “liquid lunch,” you can hit up one of the awesome breweries around here. We’re big fans of South Lake Brewing Company, which is a super fun ski/Tahoe themed taproom that is both family-friendly and dog-friendly, so it’s perfect if your canine friends are along.

They have 15 beers on tap and ready to go. However, SLBC does not have a kitchen. The Oven is on site with wood-fired food every Friday and Saturday. Guests are also allowed to bring in outside food. Kick back and relax with a beer and a fun game of cornhole, ping-pong, or board games.

The Beacon Bar & Grill

~7.8 miles from Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel

The Beacon boasts good food and amazing water views. It’s beloved by both tourists and locals alike! It was voted Best Cocktails, Best Outdoor Patio, Best Bartender, and Best Restaurant with a view in the Tahoe Daily Tribune!

The menu fluctuates seasonally and includes a variety of tasty options. From seared California white seabass to coconut shrimp to the quinoa rice bowl, you’re sure to find something to suit your fancy. While you’re there, be sure to try one of the famous Rum Runners — a Beacon Classic made with rums and a “secret blend” of fruits. Yum!
