Can you believe the new year is right around the corner? We’ve had a wonderful 2019, but we’re already getting excited about all the amazing things to come in 2020! If you’re planning a family vacation, there’s no better place than Lake Tahoe. Here are five awesome 2020 Lake Tahoe events you won’t want to miss:

1. Spring Loaded

March 9 – April 5, 2020

What’s better than sun, snow, and Lake Tahoe? Nothing, that’s what! Spring Loaded isn’t so much an event as it’s a celebration of all things spring and Lake Tahoe! It’s a great time to visit as we make the most of the snow and milder temps. Fun activities are happening all month long, from yoga to snowmobile rides to skiing and entertainment. Plus, there’s tons of food, lodging, and recreation deals and discounts going on all season long so it’s the perfect time to make the trip.

2. Tahoe Brewfest

June 2020 (TBD)

It’s no shocker that we love our beer here in Tahoe. In fact, we have some great craft breweries in the area, which makes the annual Tahoe Brewfest a summer favorite for us and many others. There’s music, games for the kids, food, and, of course, plenty of amazing craft beers from local favorites like Lake Tahoe Aleworks and Sidellis Lake Tahoe. Be sure to stay a few days and enjoy the pre- and post-event festivities as well. Official 2020 dates and plans TBD

3. Summer Concert Series at Harvey’s

Various Dates in June – September

There’s tons of live music around Tahoe during the busy summer months, but we always get especially excited for the Summer Concert Series at Harvey’s. For those that haven’t been, this outdoor amphitheater seats around 4,000 people, so it’s an exciting but intimate venue with some truly great headlining talent. Kenny Chesney and his #Chillaxification Tour was recently announced for July 2-3. Previous 2019 performers included Tim McGraw, Duran Duran, Pentatonix, Lionel Richie, and more. We don’t know the full 2020 lineup yet, but we have a feeling it’s going to be great.

4. American Century Celebrity Golf Championship

July 7 – 12, 2020

The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Edgewood is one of our favorite weeks every year. It’s the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun and enjoy one of Tahoe’s amazing golf courses. As the name suggestions, you’ll get to see famous celebrities and athletes on the course, with time for autographs and meet and greets. The best part? Since 1990, the tournament has raised more than $5 million for worthy charities. Tickets will be available online beginning in April.

5. Sample the Sierra

September 12, 2020

There’s no better way to experience all the greatest food and beverage options the Sierra region has to offer than Sample the Sierra, a farm-to-fork festival at Bijou Community Park featuring food, shopping, special tastings, and more. We love Lake Tahoe’s great restaurants, breweries, and distilleries, and more. We’re already drooling thinking about all the great options to try this year. Previous participants include Beach Retreat and LodgeCold Water Brewery & GrillPrimo’s Italian Bistro, and so many more.
