Pope-Baldwin Bike Path
Starting south of Emerald Bay at the Pope-Baldwin Beach, the flat 3.4 mile path meanders south past beautiful Camp Richardson, the Tallac Historic Site and Fallen Leaf Lake.

South Lake Tahoe Bike Path
The South Lake Tahoe Bike Path starts where Hwy. 50 first touches Lake Tahoe at El Dorado Beach. It connects to other bike trails and lanes throughout the city of South Lake Tahoe and into Nevada. Part of the trail bridges over Trout Creek and the Upper Truckee River just south of the lake.

Lake Tahoe Hiking

Eagle Falls
The hike is about two miles round trip (only about 1/3 mile to the falls); terrain varies from steep to flat and crosses beautiful Eagle Falls on a steel footbridge.
Location: Trail starts at Eagle Falls Picnic Area, Highway 89 across from Emerald Bay
Other Info: Permits are required on this hike; self-registration station is at the trailhead

Emerald Bay – Vikingsholm
A wide, well-maintained trail; fairly steep; about 2.2 miles round trip. Picnic area and world-famous Vikingsholm, a replica of a Scandinavian castle.
Location: Trail starts at the parking area on the north side of Emerald Bay, Highway 89

Marlette Lake
About five miles each way; mostly mild terrain (Fun Fact: Years ago, its water was diverted to Incline Village via flume and used to shoot logs through a tunnel to Washoe Valley for use in the Virginia City mines)
Location: Trail starts near Spooner Lake Picnic Area, at the junction of Highway 28 and 50, Nevada (green metal gate on east side of 28)
